Love Tea + Grab ‘n Go

Love Tea got its name from the sweet tea at kumori, our favorite sushi restaurant. It was the best sweet tea Donny and I had ever had. Our server was the actual tea maker and when we asked her how she made it so good, she said it was “made with love”. Hence the name Love Tea.

After much experimenting, I have finally perfected my own Love Tea. It’s sweet, smooth and super easy to make. If you want to try it, this is what you do.

Bring 4 cups water to a boil. Add 1/2 tsp baking soda. After it stops bubbling put in 10 tea bags and let steep for 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and add 2 cups sugar. Whisk until dissolved. Pour into a gallon container and fill the rest of the way up with water. It’s so good!

I think the baking soda cuts any bitterness

I make grab ‘n Go meals about 3 times a week. They really help out when we are all eating on different schedules. Also when the kids have friends over it’s a good casual meal. Last night I did instant pot chicken with a garlic herb rub, bacon, homemade ranch and homemade tortillas. Quick, easy, relatively healthy and everyone likes it. Just add some fruit or a salad and is the perfect busy night meal.

Last night was gorgeous, so the chickens had fun outside their coop. They are getting braver and are starting to explore farther away from the safety of their home. If they get scared, they are VERY quick to run back inside.

They stick close together.

I added are solar lights near their door for a little mood lighting. LOL

I cleaned our carpets today and got a jump on some early spring cleaning so I’m headed to bed to start the new season of cobra kai. Anyone else ready for ozark??? I can’t wait for that one.
